fedpol travaille actuellement à l’élaboration de la première carte d’identité biométrique suisse, en collaboration avec ses partenaires cantonaux et fédéraux. Cette carte sera munie d’une puce contenant des données biométriques, tout comme le passeport biométrique suisse actuel, offrant ainsi une protection encore plus efficace contre les abus. Son introduction est vraisemblablement prévue pour fin 2026 ou début 2027. Il restera possible d’obtenir une carte d’identité non biométrique pour une utilisation en Suisse.

Fraudulent emails posing as the police are currently circulating. The senders impersonate various police authorities as well as individuals. Calls in the name of fake authorities (police, customs) are occurring with increasing frequency.
